Condition:Album case: mostly fine condition with just a few spots on the table of contents. Prints: Nine are in fine condition. The remaining three prints have one or more spots. Each print is tip-mounted to its original series folder. Please see the individual print images.

Notes:This complete set includes all 12 prints in their original folders housed in the original blue canvas series 'tatou' album case.

This series was limited to only 100 sets. Although the edition number is not written directly on each print, this is edition number 97 as shown in the Table Of Contents page within the album (see the image below). Titled, pencil-signed and sealed in the image area of each print.

Artist Biography:
TOKURIKI TOMIKICHIRO(1902 - 1999) - Tokuriki was born and raised in Kyotoand was influenced by the local art scene from childhood. He stayed in Kyotofor his entire career and was a leader of the Kyoto Sosaku Hanga. He graduated from the KyotoCity School of Fine Arts and Crafts and after that from the KyotoCity Specialist School of Painting. While he began his career in the painting field, he found his true calling in the woodblock print field and was enthusiastic about the reemergence of woodblock prints in 20th century Japanese art. He was influential in the development of new artists later in his career and set up his own publishing company called Matsukyu.
